We evaluate time correlation functions for the Kuramoto-Sivashinsky (KS) equation using the Markov method previously proposed by one of the present authors. Recently, we showed that the Markov method is valid for low-dimensional chaotic systems. In this paper, it is found that the Markov method can be successfully applied to not only low-dimensional chaotic systems but also chaotic system with a large number of degrees of freedom, such as the KS equation.
