Abstract
Brillouin light scattering (BLS) was used to study the dynamic magnetic properties of epitaxial MnAs thin films. The BLS spectra were observed in room temperature by using a tandem six-pass Fabry-Perot interferometer. The field dependence of the surface spin-wave frequency was strongly affected by an in-plane angle between the crystal axis and the external field in a GaAs(100)/MnAS(-1100) film. The results show that the BLS spectrum is significantly damped with increasing laser power.
