Doping dependence of pseudogap and related charge dynamics in Nd2-xCexCuO4

Abstract

The doping-dependent behavior of charge transport and optical spectrum was studied using Nd2-xCexCuO4 (NCCO) single crystals. The crystals were annealed at 500°C to remove the residual stresses at the polished surfaces. The optical conductivity spectra of the crystals was studied at various temperatures to study its temperature dependence. Analysis suggested that the Drud-like component with fully developed pseudogap (PG) could be efficiently measured using low energy spectral weight.
