Abstract
A study was performed on dislocation-enhanced ionic conductivity of yttria-stabilized zirconia (YSZ). At 1300 °C, YSZ single crystals were deformed by compression tests and an AC impedance method was used to measure their electrical conductivity. It was found that the electrical conductivity of the deformed samples was larger than that of undeformed samples.
