Modulation of 4-f electron orbital state of low carrier density system CeSb was analysed using low-temperature x-ray diffraction. The scattering pattern was observed in the magnetically ordered state AFP3. The model used explains this well taking both the lattice and charge modulation coresponding to the complex magnetic structure into account. Results gave further support to the magnetic polaron mechanism with a strong p-f mixing effect.
