Dimensionality of the electronic states in Nd0.45 Sr0.55 MnO3 studied by soft X-ray photoemission

The electronic states of Nd0.45 Sr0.55 MnO3 in the two-dimensional metal phase have been revealed by the high-resolution Mn 2 p - 3 d resonant photoemission. The vanishingly weak intensity at EF indicates an anomalous metal due to the two-dimensionality of the electronic states.
