Abstract
Coherent and widely tunable terahertz (THz) wave radiation was generated using organic ionic salt crystal 4-dimethylamino-N-methyl-4-stilbazolium-tosylate (DAST). The difference frequency of a dual wavelength oscillating Ti:sapphire laser was used for the study. The ability to vary the two wavelengths of the laser from 700 to 900 nm allows the widely tunable THz waves to be easily obtained.
