Abstract

We developed a new simulation method for excited energy distribution in photo-excitation steady state. This was applied to the SrS:Eu2+ phosphor system. We found that the excited electron and hole states strongly reflected the Eu 5d and 4f orbitais. Influence of structural defects on the excited energy distribution was also investigated.
