abstract = "In this paper, the development of a robot car wiring system is addressed. It is designed to be used for automatically assembling wire harness into a car body. This operation is among the most difficult tasks of vehicle assembly and is not yet automated. Based on an analysis of the requirements for a robot car wiring system, we propose a solution which is capable of automatically completing assembly of wire harness into instrument panel frame of a car. The development of its prototype experimental system and the results of its verification experiments are described.",
