Abstract

The phenomenon of the microdomain formation of the block polymers have been studied by the self consistent field theory and the density functional theory in which the free energy is represented by a functional of the densities of each types of monomers. Although these theories are quite successful, they do not answer the question "How to generate the desired microphase separated structure?" In this work, we propose a method to answer this question, and demonstrate an example.
