Abstract

Switched Reluctance Motors (SRM) which is constructed without rare-earth magnet and robust structure is one of the most suitable in-wheel motors for EVs. In addition, double stator structure axial-flux SRM (DSAFSRM) is high torque density at flat space such as in-wheel space and good at the exhaust heat. Designed and manufactured prototype SR motor has superior torque characteristics depend on rotational speed at simulation and measurement to a same size PM motor.
