Abstract

Reactions of Na//2CO//3 or Na//2SO//4 with iron, and carbon and phosphorus were studied in the temperature range between 1200 degree and 1400 degree C. The dephosphorization and desulfurization of carbon-saturated iron (0. 2%P, 0. 05%S) by Na//2CO//3-Na//2SO//4 flux were also investigated at 1250 degree C.
