Abstract

The effects of the introduction of π -donor and π -acceptor molecules as in-plane ligands have been investigated in K₂[Pt(py)X₃][Pt(py)X₅]. 2H₂O (py=pyridine; X=Cl and Br; hereafter abbreviated as Pt-(py)-X) and Cs₂[Pt(NO₂)(NH₃)X₂]-[Pt(NO₂)(NH₃)X₄] (X=Cl and Br; hereafter abbreviated as Pt-(NO₂)-Cl) by means of the polarized reflectance spectra, and polarized excitation spectra of photocurrent and photo-induced absorptions.
