Abstract
The effects of the introduction of π -donor and π -acceptor molecules as in-plane ligands have been investigated in K2[Pt(py)X3][Pt(py)X5]. 2H2O (py=pyridine; X=Cl and Br; hereafter abbreviated as Pt-(py)-X) and Cs2[Pt(NO2)(NH3)X2]-[Pt(NO2)(NH3)X4] (X=Cl and Br; hereafter abbreviated as Pt-(NO2)-Cl) by means of the polarized reflectance spectra, and polarized excitation spectra of photocurrent and photo-induced absorptions.
