Cyclotron resonance of LaSb

Abstract

Cyclotron resonance measurements on a single crystal of LaSb have been perfor.ned in the temperature range from 1.7 to 40 K and at the frequency range from 50 to 110 GHz tc obtain the cyclotron effective mass of the carriers at the Fermi level. From analyzing the angular dependence of m*CR; the cyclotron resonance is originated from the electron Fermi surface with an ellipsoidal shape (α-branch). and m*CR varies from 0.27±0.03m0 to 0.51±0.05 m0. This obtained m*CR is about two times larger than m*QO estimated from acoustic dHvA and band calculation.
