Cyclotron Resonance of LaBi

Abstract

Cyclotron resonance (CR) measurements on a single crystal of LaBi have been performed in the temperature range from 1.6 to 30K and at the frequency range from 50 to 190 GHz. The two CR absorption lines are observed for H∥[100] at low temperature, which corresponds to effective masses m * CR of 0.33m 0 and 0.65m 0 , respectively. These values are in agreement with m * QO of α-branch (0.4m 0 ) and γ-branch (0.63m 0 ) estimated from acoustic dHvA effect measurements.
