Abstract

We report cyclotron resonance (CR) measurements for the Fe-based superconductor KFe2As2. Only one series of CR with an effective mass of 3.4me (me is the free electron mass) is observed. The CR signal is attributed to the quasi-two-dimensional α Fermi surface at the Γ point. Our main finding is that the effective mass obtained from the CR is significantly smaller than that obtained from the de-Haas van Alphen (dHvA) measurements. This is the direct evidence of the mass enhancement by electronic correlation. A comparison between the CR and dHvA measurements shows that both intra- and interband electronic correlations contribute to the mass enhancement in KFe2As2.
