Abstract
The cystal structure of the solid solution La2Cu0.95Co0.05O4-δ has been determined at room temperature by high resolution neutron powder diffraction (space group Abma; a=5.3563(5)A, b=13.130(1) A, c=5.3873(5) A). The orthorhombic distortion in this solid solution appears to be smaller than the one in both end members La2CuO4-δ and La2CoO4-δ.
