Abstract
In this paper, authors report investigations on the fabrication of PbMo//6S//8 tapes by an electro-plating and diffusion method. Critical currents in these tapes were measured as a function of applied magnetic field up to 14 T. This work was used to demonstrate the possibility of producing superconducting tapes of PbMo//6S//8 ternary molybdenum sulfides. The emphasis is put on the improvement of the critical current density of this compound.
