Critical current density in high-Tc Y1-xLnxBa2Cu3O7-δ system

The critical current density, Jc has been measured for the Y1-xLnxBa2Cu3O7-δ (Ln=Ce, Eu, Dy, Er, Tm and Lu) system under magnetic fields up to 27 T. For the samples with x=0.1 prepared by a single heat treatment, Jc seemed to show a maximum around Dy. In the Y1-xDyxBa2Cu3O7-δ system which is sintered 4 times, Jc becomes maximum at x=0.5, i.e. 56 A/cm2 at B=15.0 T applied parallel to the pellet surface.
