Abstract

Experimental studies and theoretical analyses were performed of the coupled heat and mass transfer resulting from sublimation of p-dichlorobenzene from the wall of a rectangular duct into laminer flow of nitrogen. The heat and mass transfer rates were strongly affected by the density driven flow caused by concentration and temperature distributions in gas phase. Theoretical values obtained by the numerical analyses of Navier-Stokes, energy and diffusion equations were good agreement with the experimental ones, especially in the isothermal condition and at high Reynolds number in the adiabatic condition.
