Abstract
Dynamic operation of Co-base amorphous soft magnetic cores with constant flux reset has been studied up to 1 MHz by means of a control magnetization curve (CMC). Measurements are carried out with a high-speed switching circuit. CMCs for tape-wound cores with different tape thicknesses are examined and compared with those for a ring core and a multilayer thin-film core. The quality of amorphous cores required for high-frequency applications has been clarified and the experimental results presented.
