Abstract

HFe-silicates with a high iron content differ from H-ZSM-5 as catalysts for propylene conversion. The contrast is ascribed to differences in the strength of the strong acid sites. Iron in the Fe-silicates also acts as a catalyst when the surface adsorbates combust in air.
