Commensurate spin dynamics in the superconducting state of an electron-doped cuprate superconductor

Abstract

A neutron scattering study on the single crystals of Nd1.85Ce0.15CuO4 was performed. The coexistence of gapped commensurate spin fluctuations with the electron-doped superconductivity was found. The energy gap of around 4 meV closed at or near Tc suggesting the absence or degradation of the spin pseudogap state in the electron-doped superconductor.
