Coherent tunable THz-wave generation from LiNbO3 OPO using grating coupler

An efficient coherent THz-wave generation utilizing a grating coupler on LiNbO3 has been demonstrated. Tunable nanosecond THz-wave generation with both good temporal and spatial coherence has been achieved. The tunability, directivity, and efficiency have been proven to be good enough for applications such as spectroscopy, THz imaging and others.
