Abstract

A cobalt-Xantphos catalyst has been developed for the syn addition of (benzo)thiazoles to internal alkynes via C-H bond functionalization. The reaction affords C2-alkenylated (benzo)thiazoles with high regio- and stereoselectivities under mild conditions.
