Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of cobalt-catalysed C-H bond functionalisation reactions reported between 2010 and early 2018, which most likely involve inner-sphere C-H activation processes. The chapter is organised according to the nature of the cobalt catalysts and the reaction conditions. Thus, reactions involving low-valent Co species and/or reducing conditions are discussed first, followed by those involving high-valent Co species and/or oxidative conditions.
