Abstract

The chiral phase transition at high temperature is investigated using the effective potential in the framework of the QCD-like gauge theory with a variational approach. We have a second-order phase transition at (Formula presented) We also investigate numerically the temperature dependence of (Formula presented) (Formula presented) and (Formula presented) (the coefficient of the quadratic term in the effective potential) and estimate the critical exponents of these quantities.
