Abstract
The preparation of carbon nanotubes via template method was presented. The method consisted of pyrolytic carbon deposition on the inner walls of the nanochannels in an anodic oxide film and the liberation of the carbon from the film by dissolving the template. The method allowed the synthesis of monodispersed carbon tubes with uniform length, diameter and thickness. The XPS spectra of the HNO3-treated and untreated carbon-coated films were also described.
