Chemical diffusion in Ir3Nb

Abstract

Chemical diffusion coefficient in the L12 ordered compound Ir3Nb has been measured by single-phase interdiffusion experiments in the temperature range from 1750 to 1950°C. The diffusion coefficient is described by the pre-exponential factor of 10-5.3±1.1 m 2s-1 and the activation energy of 4.83±0.44eV.
