Abstract
Catalytic cracking of benzene was carried out under He or H2 gas flow at 1.0 and 5.0MPa in the temperature range of 500-800°C. Coke was extracted from each of the resultant coked zeolites by HF and HCl washing. The coked zeolites and the liberated cokes were characterized by N2 adsorption and SEM observation. The results of the characterization were discussed in relation to the location of coke in zeolite.
