Abstract

The active gas condensation method combined with a co-evaporation process and uneven bar system is used to synthesize the ceria based nanocluster composites (NCC). The microstructure of the NCC is studied by SEM and TEM. The band gap energy of NCC is determined from optical absorption measurements, and quantum confinement effects are studied.
