Characteristic profile of magnetic diffuse scattering in ErB 2C2

Abstract

We observed the profiles of anomalous magnetic diffuse scattering in ErB2C2 by neutron diffraction. The simple Lorentzian-type profiles along c*-axis indicate that the spin correlation along the c*-axis is an exponential type damping one with a correlation length of ∼15Å.
