Abstract
Fabrication methods and preliminary experimental results on the long-term stability and gas sensitivity of catheter-tip P//C //O //2 and P//O //2 sensor suitable for use in vivo are presented. Using a pH ion selective field-effect transistor (ISFET), a P//C //O //2 sensor is constructed according to the method described by Severinghaus and Bradley. A P//O //2 sensor of the Clark type, which has long-term stability, is fabricated using IC technology.
