Abstract
(Figure Presented) Baby steps: The mechanism of proton migration in an ionized acetone-water cluster was studied by IR spectroscopy. After the ionization, water abstracts a proton from the methyl group of the acetone moiety and transfers it to the carbonyl group (see picture).
