Spin waves in two Fe/Cr multilayer films, one exhibiting ferromagnetic coupling and another antiferromagnetic coupling between adjacent Fe layers, have been studied by Brillouin scattering. Two bulk spin wave bands were observed for the antiferromagnetic film, but only one band for the ferromagnetic film.
