N2 - Offshore wind-power generation is expected as one of the effective solutions for air pollution and global warming problems. In Europe, a lot of over MW-class offshore wind-power plants are already operated [1], and it has just started in Japan too. In order to develop such a large-scale offshore wind-power plant, it requires a MW-class dc-dc converter to efficiently send the generated power by High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission system [2]. Therefore, the development of the MW-class isolated transformer for the dc-dc converters is also required.
