Automatic evaluation of pronunciation in language classes

Abstract

An experimental system is proposed for language courses to teach correct pronunciation to foreigners. A dynamic programming technique is applied to compare the student's voice with model pronunciation. Several important features are automatically extracted and as a result the student's pronunciation is evaluated.
