Application of t-method to a.c. problem based on boundary element method

Abstract

This paper describes the T-method (current vector potential method) based on BEM (Boundary Element Method) to solve 3-D eddy current problems. Features of this method are: (1) one kind of variables (T) is needed only in conductor region and (2) the unknowns are only defined on the conductor surface by using BEM. The derivation of basic equations and a new technique of imposing a gage condition are presented. An application to A.C. problem is examined in terms of the gage condition.
