Abstract
Crystalline stereocomplex poly (methyl methacrylate) (SC-PMMA) of isotactic poly(methyl methacrylate) and syndiotactic poly (methyl methacrylate) (st-PMMA) blends was induced by treatment with supercritical carbon dioxide at 60°C and 35 MPa. Compared with the amorphous PMMA foams obtained from st-PMMA, SC-PMMA contributes to the superior morphology of microcellular foams, that is, smaller cell sizes and larger cell number densities.
