Abstract

A detailed angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopic (ARPES) study of the electronic structure of an electron-doped cuprate superconductor was carried out. Significant differences were found between it and the p-type materials that shed light on a number of important topics in the high-Tc superconductors. It was observed that the Luttinger volumed Fermi surface is truncated into several pieces with a high-energy "pseudogap"-like suppression.
