Abstract
Anisotropic pressure effects on the magnetic properties of a spin-Peierls substance, MEM-[TCNQ]2, have been investigated through the measurements of susceptibility, magnetization and ESR spectra for single crystals under uniaxial pressure. Though the results for the single crystals are qualitatively similar to those for microcrystals, we have found that the pressure effects for a and c axes are remarkable, compared with those for b-axis reflecting the peculiar crystal structure of the salt.
