Abstract
The analysis of local mechanical properties of sheared endothelial cells measured by atomic force microscopy was presented. Finite element analysis was also performed to determine the Young's modulus by comparison by comparing the numerical and the experimental results. The results showed that the moduli significantly increased with fluid shear stress, however the moduli were almost independent on the location.
