Abstract

Sensitivities and abilities of quantitative detection for Candida albicans of five simplified diagnostic aids for candidosis or denture stomatitis-Microstix-Candida, Stomastat medium, Mizuno-Takada medium, CA-TG medium, and "milk test"-were examined in vitro, and the characteristics or the indications for clinical use of these were summarized.
