Abstract

In this paper, we propose a scheme to increase the QoS (quality of service) in ubiquitous computing environment by managing context information effectively where computational and network resources are limited. This novel scheme consists of a following distinguished feature: (S1)Flexible QoC (quality of context information) Control. This scheme can manage the context information based on relationship between QoC and QoS. By employing this scheme, we can avoid degradation of available network bandwidth and computational resource due to supplying excessive context information. Quality and function of overall system are also expected to be maintained while circulating context information in high quality.
