An analysis of thermal properties of metals: New applications of the Cluster Variation Method

Abstract

A new approximation method for vibrational free energy is proposed. This method is based on the basic feature of Cluster Variation Method. By using the present method, we calculated the thermal properties of metals and free energy of vacancy formation.
