Abstract
A novel method for stabilizing the all-optical subharmonic clock recovery with using mode-locked semiconductor laser diode (MLLD) devices is described. All-optical demultiplexing from 40 Gbit/s to 10 Gbit/s is demonstrated by applying the subharmonic clock recovery in combination with the gate-switching operation of a semiconductor saturable absorber device.
