N2 - For next generation HDTV (High Definition TV), the authors proposed the QHD (Quadruple HDTV: 3840* 2048 pixels) format, which has twice as much pixels in both vertical and horizontal directions. Both CRL and Victor Company of Japan, Ltd. have co-developed camera system and projector with the QHD format to execute the subjective evaluation and verify the effectiveness. We also would like to propose an adaptive video distribution model as one of the applications of QHD images for homes. Using the tiling function of JPEG2000, this model offers the contents which are effective, high precision and adapted for a viewers' needs. We already reported the estimation of coding parameter and results of verification test for QHD still image distribution model. This paper describes the outline of adaptive distribution model with QHD moving picture.
