Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Cytokines are substantially involved in all processes of AMI, including progression of coronary atherosclerosis, destabilization of atherosclerotic coronary plaque, and inflammatory and repair process of the disease. Further studies are needed to elucidate the mechanisms of and the significance of the alterations in the cytokine system in AMI, which enable us to establish the strategy to retard the process of coronary atherosclerosis, to prevent AMI, and to protect the ischemic myocardium from the inflammatory injuries.
