Abstract

Infection byC. albicans is a significant cause of denture stomatitis. Therefore, the results of this study, which demonstrated that yeast lytic enzymes and proteolytic enzymes removedC. albicans from acrylic resin surfaces, suggest that these compounds are potentially useful denture cleansers.
