Ab initio-Monte Carlo studies on the finite-temperature properties of L10 FeAu superlattice

Abstract

The ab initio-Monte Carlo method was applied on the L10 ordered FeAu superlattice to study its finite temperature magnetic properties. The self-consistent full-potential linearized augmented-plane-wave method was used to calculate the magnetic structures in the superlattice and extract the exchange parameters from the obtained ab initio total energies. Based on a Heisenberg model, the extracted parameters were used to perform the Monte Carlo simulations.
